Reveiw by Robert Horn
This CD has been reviewed before but for some reason it isn’t on the top of the charts worldwide so somebody out there wasn’t listening. If you like Tim Casey’s live shows, or if you like the Brian Seltzer Orchestra, or if you like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, or if you like any jump blues, you will love this. It is probably the best swing CD I have ever heard. It isn’t famous yet but I think it will be around a while.
I expect it to be around only as long as people dance or listen to music, so that should be a while assuming the planet will have humans on it for a while.
There are a lot of great ones on here like “Good Rockin’ Tonight,” “Boppin’ With The Blues,” and my favorite one was “Flip, Flop, and Fly”. The last song was so great at making one move to the music that I am going to take it to a cemetary and play it loud. I will then watch people who have been dead for decades jump through their pine boxes, shoot through 6 feet of earth, and dance on the top of the ground. I will videotape it for next haloween. This music is so great at getting you dancing that I wrote the last lines with a straight face and while sober too.
This belongs in any great swing dance music collection and every great blues CD collection. This is swing or jump blues at its best.
Excuse me now I gotta listen to this again right now.
